This summer, Carpe Diem Arts will offer the following camps:

June 26-30 - Art from the HeART - a weeklong arts camp for students entering grades 3 through 5 in the fall of 2023. We will explore different forms of art, create items to gift to those in our community who need a little pick-me-up, and make some fun things to keep. Plus, we will learn to play (or grow in our knowledge of) the ukulele.

July 17-21 - Arts for Social Change - a weeklong camp for students entering grades 6 through 8 in the fall of 2023. We will explore art and its role in communicating messages of change as we look at current issues.  Past camps investigated migration, access to healthcare, education, and clean air.  Art making, ukulele playing, songwriting, and art placement to encourage change.

Spanish Immersion Camps - Morning focus will be on visual arts and Spanish vocabulary, reading, and speaking skills. Afternoons will bring music and ukulele skills, with attention to songs in English and Spanish.

August 14-18 - for students entering grades 1 and 2 in the fall of 2023.

August 21-25 - for students entering grades 3 through 5 in the fall of 2023.

The Spanish Immersion camps are offered at the end of summer to help your child brush up on their Spanish before school starts. Predominant language spoken in camp will be Spanish.

Spanish Immersion Camp is located at Seekers Church, Takoma DC.
