Carpe Diem Arts works independently and in partnership with other non-profits in the greater D.C. area and on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, to bring the visual, literary and performing arts to life in a broad range of educational and community settings ~ facilitating culturally diverse performances, workshops, residencies, and exhibits, while also presenting/producing community dances and concerts, choral arts programs, and fundraising events to support innovative projects and arts outreach to under-served audiences.
 
Past and present projects include: Carpe Diem Choral Arts Residencies (six choir and dance productions 2003-2007, with plans for 2009 and 2010 in the works); Master Guitar Series at the Avalon Theatre (Easton, MD ~ 2006-2007); Carpe Diem Summer Arts Camp on the Eastern Shore; Chesapeake Community Dance Series (fourth Saturdays in St. Michaels, MD); production of house concerts, workshops, fundraisers, and other special events.

Stay tuned for more information about the next Carpe Diem Choral Arts Residency Project: Song of the Earth ~ with Malcolm Dalglish ~ part of the the 40th Anniversary Celebration of Earth Day at Strathmore on April 23, 2010.  Rehearsals will begin on Thursday, March 11.
