Carpe Diem! started as the Choral Arts Residency Project of Class Acts Arts, based in Silver Spring Maryland.  Between March 2003 and May 2006, five Projects were initiated which culminated in public performances in Silver Spring; three performances made it to the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage!  Take a look at the gallery, below.

Malcolm Dalglish presents A Ceremony of Song for Choir, Hammer Dulcimer, Folk Choir, Percussion and Dance with special guests N. Scott Robinson on percussion, InToneNation a cappella ensemble, Margie T. Farmer, Shizumi Dance Theatre of Japan—plus bagpipes and percussive dancers.
 
Songs of Hope and Freedom: The Carpe Diem Choir, directed by David Griffiths, perform selections from times of slavery to the contemporary stylings of today's urban gospel, providing an uplifting musical experience with guest dancer/choreographer Helanius J. Wilkins.
 
Trio Globo, comprised of Eugene Friesen (cello), Howard Levy (piano and harmonica), and Glen Velez (percussion), joins the Carpe Diem choir, soprano soloist Sabrina Coleman Clark, and dancers Sduduzo Ka-Mbili (South Africa) and Sudha Bhagwat (India) for a performance of choral music and contemporary acoustic jazz.
